Now that your vision is much better and you are comfortable wearing your new contact lenses, it is worth taking note of a few important points to ensure the continued good vision and on-going health of your eyes.
- Have regular contact lens aftercare appointments as advised by the Optician.
- Carefully follow the cleaning regime recommended for your particular type of lens.
- Ensure absolute cleanliness before handling the lenses using an anti-bacterial soap and water.
- Never use tap water to clean the lenses, only use recommended solutions.
- Dispose of the lenses after the appropriate life of the lens (daily/monthly) and never attempt to over-wear them.
- If any discomfort or if vision is unclear (blurry) remove lenses.
If in doubt, take them out.
